RULES FOR PARKING AT SOFIA AIRPORT

The Rules for Parking at Sofia Airport (“Rules”) are applicable within the public parking facilities at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of Sofia Airport. 

By entering the parking facilities, the Client consents to be bound by these Rules toward SOF Connect (as defined under item 1.2 below).

1. Definitions 

• “Client” shall mean each person using the parking service provided by SOF Connect.
• “SOF Connect” shall mean SOF Connect AD, UIC 206155179, with seat and registered address in Sofia, 1 Christopher Columbus Blvd., Sofia Airport, website: https://sofia-airport.eu/en/.

2. Permitted Use and Rules for Parking

• The Client must use the parking lot only for parking of motor vehicles. The use of the parking lot for any other purpose is strictly prohibited without the prior written consent of SOF Connect.
• The Client must park only within the designated marked spaces without obstructing other vehicles. 
• Parking in spaces for people with permanent disabilities and reduced mobility is prohibited without the proper documentation.
• While driving in the parking lot, the Client must observe the applicable road traffic laws in the Republic of Bulgaria and the signs and marking of the parking lot. 
• The Client is entitled to use the parking lot with one parking ticket for a maximum of 12 months. SOF Connect is entitled to remove vehicles left within the parking lot for more than 12 months.
• The Client must adhere to all airport security, safety, and operational rules, including when these rules are verbally communicated from the airport and security staff.
• The parking lot is monitored by security cameras. By entering, the Client consents to being filmed and acknowledges that these measures do not imply liability on the part of SOF Connect for vehicle security.

3. Rules for Entry and Exit

• Upon entry to the public parking at Terminal 2, the Client must scan the ticket issued at the entry barrier of the Gated Access Area at Terminal 2. Upon entry to the public parking at Terminal 1 the Client must obtain a ticket at the entry barrier of the public parking. The  ticket grants access to the respective parking lot and the right to use a single parking space. 
• The parking management and payment system is based on dual recognition: a unique ticket plus license plate number recognition.
• The Clients must retain the ticket until they exit the parking lot with their vehicle. In case of loss of the parking ticket, the Client may press the information button on the pay machines or call the Parking customer service on 0876233051 / 0877482238 (no additional charge added.).  In case of a lost ticket, if there is no record of the vehicle’s registration number in SOF Connect’s system due to the Client’s conduct, the Client must pay a penalty in the amount of BGN 100, in addition to the parking fee due. The penalty for a lost ticket shall be charged only once, and there shall be no cumulation of penalties for a lost ticket under these Rules and the Rules for Use of the Gated Access Area at Sofia Airport.
• Exiting the parking lot with the vehicle is permitted only after payment of the parking fee and any penalties, if applicable.  

4. Pricing and Payment

• The fee for the parking service shall be in accordance with the tariff applicable upon entry into the respective parking lot at Sofia Airport. The tariff is visible on the information boards at the entry point of the parking lot and on the website of SOF Connect, available at https://sofia-airport.eu/en/at-the-airport/parking/.  
• The Client shall have 15 minutes to exit the respective parking lot with its vehicle after payment of the fee accrued for the use of the service. In case of an online reservation and provided that the Client has not exceeded the time purchased for the use of the parking service by more than 1 hour, the 15-minute period for exit of the respective parking lot shall commence after the expiry of 1 hour after the end of the reservation period. If the vehicle does not exit within the aforementioned term, the parking fee shall begin to accrue in accordance with the applicable tariff upon expiry of the 15th minute.   
• Payment for the parking service is possible by way of cash or bank card at the designated pay stations or by way of card at the exit barrier. The Client might pay for the parking service in advance through an online reservation, available at https://prodbook.sofia-airport.orbisds.com/en/parking-step-1/.
• Within 5 calendar days following payment of the parking fee, the Client can request an electronic invoice by sending the original parking ticket, receipt and the invoicing data to the following e-mail address: sc-invoicing@sof-connect.com. Requests for VAT invoices posted beyond 5 calendar days from the date of the end of the parking period will be rejected.

5. Penalties and Removal of Vehicles

• If violations of items 2 and 3 occur, the Client shall be obliged to pay a penalty amounting to BGN 100, VAT included, per single event in addition to and on top of the respective parking fee. The penalty is payable at parking counters located at P1 exit and P2 Parking Operations Center. Further to the aforementioned, SOF Connect might cancel the perpetrator’s ticket and remove the vehicle from the respective parking lot.
• SOF Connect may remove vehicles that disrupt parking operations, are parked for over 12 months, in case the ticket of the Client is cancelled as per item 5.1, or in case removal of the vehicle is necessary for safety reasons, repair works or other material reasons. Removal methods and storage options are at SOF Connect’s discretion, and all associated costs shall be borne by the Client. Vehicles may be relocated within Sofia Airport, subject to a daily storage fee of BGN 40, or transferred to the competent authorities or an alternative location outside the territory of the airport. 
• SOF Connect will retain information on the reasons for removal and the location to which vehicles are relocated for a period of 5 years from the date of relocation. This information will be provided to persons who have the original vehicle registration certificate and pay the charges due for the parking service and the relocation.

6. SOF Connect’s Liability

SOF Connect provides a service consisting solely of providing a right to use a parking space for motor vehicles, subject to availability. The service does not include any additional obligations on the part of SOF Connect such as guarding or in any other way ensuring the security of vehicles and their contents, including of vehicles that have been removed in accordance with item 5.2. By using the parking lot, the Client acknowledges and accepts that parking is at their own risk. 

7. Additional Information

• In case of a dispute arising out of these Rules that the Client and SOF Connect cannot settle amicably, Clients acting in their capacity as consumers within the Bulgarian Consumers Protection Act may turn to alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms or to the Commission for Consumers Protection.
